Week 14 | February 7-13
LET'S HEAR IT FOR OUR NWSC JV CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS!!!
The girls worked their butts off all season and finished the year completely undefeated within the conference as well as finishing first at Saturday's championship meet.
Throughout the year all of the girls have contributed to the JV team continuously wining their meets and they all deserve around of applause, and then some!
While we walked away with a trophy, I felt like they needed just a bit more so I put together a sweatshirt that's available for purchase until Wednesday and will be handed out at our banquet!
This week the varsity girls head to the Section 5AA Championship Meet at Champlin Park on Tuesday night.
Tomorrow from 2:30-4:30 girls on the sections roster will have one final practice before the competition. After practice the whole team is invited to one final team dinner at Broadway Pizza in Rogers at 5pm.
Tuesday, girls on the sections roster will be excused from school at 12:30pm in order to have ample time to get ready for the meet. We will be meeting at my house at 1pm to do hair and get ready together. Girls should grab themselves a lunch along the way, or eat lunch at school before leaving.
The rest of the team should be at ERHS in the gymnastics room by 3:00pm (middle schools girls will be released at 2:30pm) to help load the bus for a 3:15pm departure.
I believe Champlin Park will open to spectators at 6pm and the parade of champions is set to begin at 6:30pm.
Our competition rotation schedule is as follows:

The Sections meet is what qualifies teams and individuals for state. The team who places first advances to the state meet. The top 3 all around competitors advance the state meet and then are removed from consideration within the individual events. The next 3 highest placing individuals advance per event for a total of 6 competitors from each section, on each event at the state tournament.
The teams in our section have all been pretty close in scores as an average throughout the season, so the meet should be super fun to watch and state qualifiers will be a surprise to all!
Regardless of results, our team will have one final practice on Friday February 11th at 3pm to complete end of the season tasks.
